Toilet Bombs and Septic System Health

Cleaning the toilet is a dirty job nobody enjoys it, especially when you add two boys into the mix (why is their piss on the seat? why is their piss on the floor? hold it and aim you little creatures).

anyhow the addition of these natural toilet bombs has encourage my boys to clean the loo, same as the good old vinegar and baking soda there is cause and affect they love that......i love that they love that too and are now my loo!

But there are other health reason as to why i like to keep everything going down the drain healthy .....Bacteria..... its all about crowding out dangerous bacteria with good in your septic system which are alot like your gut and the soil, you want it over flowing with good guys.

Any additives, such as drain cleaners, disinfectants or bleach, can kill off all of the healthy bacteria in the tank and put the septic system in jeopardy also water softeners not only killed microorganisms in the tank but also interfere with solids settling in the tank, putting the system at greater risk of failure.

Septic tank additives actually cause enough system failures that in some places round the world they have banned their use entirely.

Plus considering the fact mine and many others septic run off feeds soil and plants, a little fore thought is a good idea as they are eating it too to which they also thrive on good bacteria.

So here we go.

1 Cup Baking Soda

1/4 Cup Citric Acid

1 Tablespoon liquid Castile soap

10 drops of essential oils of lavender or eucalyptus or pine needle or manuka or lemon

Silicone Ice Cube Tray

Airtight Jar or Container

Put all ingredients in a bowl and mix, the mixture will become easy to mold by hand.

Press into silicone molds firmly.

Let them dry for at least 4 hours or overnight. Once they are completely dry, gently pop them out and store in an airtight container.
